Central Metering

Hi all,

A bit of a curious one. I am trying to create buildings for a site consisting of six buildings across a seven acre site. One of the buildings is largely independently metered with its own gas and electricity meters. The remaining five buildings have individual heating systems and gas metering but the electricity supply is metered from a central point. Sadly, there are no electricity sub-meters to the individual buildings.

Can anybody suggest a method of adding the five individual buildings to SMEasure and somehow spanning the electricity meter across the buildings? The best I can come up with is to create a single "building" to cover the five individual buildings and adding the gas meters as sub meters. Of course, this will mean that we will not get the benefits of having the individual buildings on SMEasure.

I would really appreciate the advice of people who have encountered similar difficulties.

    Dear Stephen,

The major benefit of using SMEasure is the degree day analysis, as the
gas is independently metered for all the buildings you will be able to
get this analysis by setting up the individual buildings. There is no
way to spread the electricity use across buildings, I would suggest
setting up the electricity on one of the five buildings or setting up a
new building just for this meter. It is not ideal but it will still let
you track this whilst giving you full building efficiency analysis from
    your gas usage.

This is the best solution I can think of.
