meters rolling over

I was trying to add meter readings further back into the past to analyse the effectiveness of energy upgrades made in the past. Unfortunately our gas meter has rolled over from 9999 to 0000 during this period and the calculator is not correctly calculating consumption.

    Alex,

Unfortunately SMEasure doesn't support meters rolling over yet, although this is obviously a feature we plan to add.

For now, the workaround is to add consumption for the old meter up to the point where the rollover occurs, then add a new meter for consumption staring from 0000.

    Cheers,
    Rob

Or even simpler workaround is to start adding a leading 1 to your meter reads -- so (using fewer digits for clarity) if your meter has rolled over from eg. "99" and now reads "12" you need to enter "112" into smeasure.

I've done that for some of my buildings as well-- add the "1" just to keep the numbers moving the right way.

this is a workaround of sorts, but definitely not the solution, as your data becomes corrupt for historic review, when you do a CSV export of your meterreads etc, but I suppose that will not be an issue for most so thanks.
